Airline Achieves Industry Firsts in Inflight Connectivity with Satellite Wi-Fi

After completing the installation across its Boeing 777 fleet in July 2025, Qatar Airways swiftly upgraded its Airbus A350s. The airline completed the entire A350 upgrade in December 2025 within an ‘record-breaking’ eight months. Work on installing Starlink on its Boeing 787 Dreamliners has begun, with three aircraft now operational. According to AeroTime, Qatar Airways achieved industry firsts in inflight connectivity, including launching the world’s first 787-8 Dreamliner equipped with @Starlink and connecting over 11 million global passengers.
