New Initiative Aims To Speed Up Tech Transfer
The Pentagon is launching a new initiative to make its patents more accessible to industry, with the goal of speeding up the development of new military technologies. Under Secretary for Research & Engineering Emil Michael announced that 400 patents will be made available for free trial, and a searchable database for all Pentagon patents is in development. The initiative uses AI to curate and analyze patents, and may lead to new partnerships and innovations.
