New Agency to Overhaul Military Moves Amid Calls for Efficiency and Warfighter Support

The US Department of Defense is transforming its Permanent Change of Station task force into a permanent agency, with the aim of improving military moves. The Personal Property Activity will oversee household goods and vehicle shipment services, requiring investments in new IT systems. According to Breaking Defense, the change was announced by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who described it as a move to guarantee ‘high-quality, reliable, and efficient’ services for over 300,000 warfighters worldwide.
