SpaceX, NASA, International Space Station, Crew-11, Early Return, Medical Concerns
NASA has confirmed that SpaceX Crew-11 will return early from the International Space Station due to health concerns. The decision was announced on January 8, 2026, and a news conference involving incoming NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman was held. According to AeroTime, NASA is now reviewing its plans for scheduling the return date and looking at options for advancing launch opportunities for the Crew-12 mission. As noted by Robert Pearlman, editor of collectSpace.com, this is the first time in NASA’s 65-year human spaceflight history that a crew has been brought back early due to health concerns.
