Lufthansa Group to Roll Out Starlink Across Entire Fleet

Airline Giant Embraces Satellite Connectivity Amid Growing Demand for Inflight Internet

Lufthansa Group is set to roll out SpaceX’s Starlink satellite-based internet connectivity across its entire fleet by 2029. The airline group will initially continue to offer its existing FlyNet service, but Starlink will be available for free to status customers and Travel ID users. AeroTime reports that the installation process will take a couple of years, with Deutsche Telekom providing ground-based access in certain parts of Europe. Lufthansa joins growing list of European airlines adopting Starlink, including Air France-KLM and International Airlines Group.
