German Carrier Postpones Service Due To Safety Concerns
Lufthansa has delayed the resumption of direct flights between Frankfurt and Tehran due to ongoing protests and deteriorating security conditions in Iran. The German flag carrier had planned to restore its service on January 16, 2026, but will now wait until at least late January, citing safety concerns for passengers and crew. The move comes as several other airlines, including Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Turkish Airlines, have also suspended or adjusted their Iranian routes amid the unrest. The situation was first reported by AeroTime.
