Stealth Fighter Production Reaches New High Amid Global Demand
Lockheed Martin delivered a record 191 F-35 stealth fighters in 2025, surpassing the previous high of 142 in 2021. The company’s production capacity and ability to clear a backlog of stored jets contributed to the increase. However, deliveries of jets with the TR-3 upgrade are currently limited to training, and it’s unclear how many of the 191 deliveries consisted of these aircraft. The F-35 program has seen high demand globally, particularly in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with nearly 1,300 jets operational worldwide. This was reported by Breaking Defense.
