French Navy Tests H160M Helicopter's Electromagnetic Environment Capabilities
The H160M Guépard prototype has made its first contact with a French Navy surface ship, according to AeroTime reports. The helicopter conducted an ‘interaction of opportunity’ with the fleet replenishment tanker BRF Jacques Stosskopf, testing electromagnetic environment capabilities. This marks a significant step in the development campaign for the HIL program, which aims to provide a common platform for the Army, Navy, and Air and Space Force. Airbus Helicopters is developing 169 aircraft for France’s military aviation needs, with deliveries expected to begin in late 2028.
