Electra, an electric aircraft startup, has unveiled its EL9 hybrid-electric aircraft, featuring eight electric rotors for ultra-short takeoff and landing. The company aims to transform air travel with the EL9, which can accommodate nine people or 3,000 pounds. Electra is targeting both commercial and military markets, with plans to certify the aircraft with the FAA by 2029.
