Electra's EL9 Aircraft Offers New Approach to Regional Air Mobility

Electra has developed an ultra-short take-off and landing aircraft (ultraSTOL) with hybrid-electric capabilities. The EL9 aircraft can operate from surfaces smaller than typical supermarket parking lots, offering new approaches to regional air mobility. Electra has filed for Part 23 certification with the FAA and secured over $115 million in funding through its Series B round. The company has also collected pre-orders from over 60 customers, including Bristow Group, which has placed a multi-million-dollar deposit to secure the first delivery slot.
