Singapore Airport Automates Baggage Handling With AI-Powered Vehicles
Changi Airport in Singapore has launched its first fleet of fully driverless autonomous tractors for airside operations, marking a significant step towards automation. The tractors, equipped with over 10 sensors and cameras, will transfer passenger baggage between terminals. The deployment is part of the airport’s broader innovation strategy, which includes integrating automation and robotics to increase productivity. According to AeroTime, the project represents one of the first large-scale deployments of fully autonomous vehicles in airport airside operations globally.
