Textron Aviation Delivers First Next Generation Light Jet
Textron Aviation’s Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 has entered service, with the first owner, Dave Mecartney, taking delivery of the aircraft. The CJ3 Gen2 features several key upgrades, including Garmin autothrottle technology, increased legroom, and a customizable cabin environment. With a maximum range of 2,040 nautical miles and a payload of up to 2,135 lbs, the aircraft is poised to deliver exceptional performance and comfort. According to AeroTime, the introduction of the CJ3 Gen2 follows the entry into service of Textron’s Cessna Citation Ascend in December 2025.
