Army to Request Proposals for CAML Prototype Development

Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher Program Seeks Nontraditional Vendors

The Army is nearing the release of a request for prototype proposals (RFPP) for its Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAML) program. The initiative aims to bring together nontraditional vendors and adopt a ’teams of teams’ approach, which has already been successful in other programs. With three or four vendors selected, the Army plans to award an Other Transaction Agreement by the end of this year. Prototype demonstrations are expected around mid-to-late summer, and the final contract will be awarded based on performance.
