Artificial Intelligence To Speed Decisions In Future Warfare
The US Army has tested the first prototype for its Next Generation Command and Control (Next Gen C2) initiative, which aims to speed decisions using artificial intelligence. The prototype, developed by Lockheed Martin, was tested with the 25th Infantry Division in the Pacific and focused on establishing a common data layer for enhanced command and control. The test is part of the Army’s efforts to develop a new approach to managing information and data, with a focus on agile and software-based architectures. This development was first reported by Breaking Defense.
