Aircraft Manufacturer Sees Boost in Production Amid Quality Issues
Airbus is poised to surpass its revised delivery goal for 2025, according to a Bloomberg report citing people familiar with the matter. The company delivered 793 aircraft last year, exceeding its target of around 790. Airbus confirmed it will publish its audited annual commercial figures on January 12, 2026. Despite quality issues at a supplier affecting A320-family fuselage panels, production remained concentrated on single-aisle programs, while widebody output lagged due to industrial constraints. The company enters 2026 with a backlog of over 12,000 aircraft and plans to raise A320neo-family production to 75 aircraft per month by 2027.
