AirAsia X Brings Back Kuala Lumpur-Busan Route

Malaysia’s Only Direct Service to South Korea Restored

AirAsia X has announced the resumption of direct flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) and Busan’s Gimhae International Airport (PUS), starting June 17, 2026. The airline will operate four times weekly, making Busan its 21st destination in North Asia. CEO Benyamin Ismail stated that the route’s return coincides with Malaysia’s national tourism campaign, Visit Malaysia 2026, and positions Busan as both an outbound destination for Malaysian travelers and a source market for inbound tourism. AirAsia X is offering promotional fares starting at RM299 (US $74) all-in one-way for economy class or RM999 (US $246) all-in one-way for its Premium Flatbed product.
