Star Alliance Carriers Strengthen Ties Amid Growing Demand for Global Connectivity
Air India and Singapore Airlines have signed a commercial cooperation framework agreement that sets the stage for deeper partnership between the two Star Alliance carriers. Following Pakistan’s airspace ban in April 2025, Air India is exploring alternative routings through Singapore to preserve connectivity. The airlines plan to study ways to enhance frequent flyer benefits and collaborate on corporate travel programs. According to AeroTime, CEO Campbell Wilson described the framework agreement as a structured platform for defining future areas of closer collaboration and creating long-term value for customers.
