Kazakh Carrier Expands China Network with New Route

Air Astana has announced plans to launch a new service between Almaty and Shanghai, starting March 2026. The airline will operate three times weekly using Airbus A321LR aircraft. This expansion marks the latest step in Air Astana’s efforts to build its presence in China, which it first entered more than 20 years ago. According to AeroTime, the new route is expected to further solidify the Kazakh flag carrier’s position as a key player in connecting Central Asia to Chinese cities.
