Kazakh Flag Carrier Expands China Connections
Air Astana is set to launch a new route between Almaty International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, starting at the end of March 2026. The Kazakh flag carrier will operate the service three times weekly, utilizing Airbus A321LR aircraft, and expanding its existing network in China, which already includes flights to Beijing, Guangzhou, Sanya, and Urumqi. With this addition, Air Astana further solidifies its position as a key link between Central Asia and China’s major cities, a role it has maintained for over 20 years. The new route was first reported by AeroTime.
