French Caribbean Regional Carrier Fails To Recover From Safety Issues
Air Antilles, a French Caribbean regional airline, has ceased operations after a court in Guadeloupe ordered the carrier into liquidation. The airline, which connected several Caribbean islands using a small turboprop fleet, had been facing financial and safety issues since late 2025. Despite attempts to rescue the airline, the court found that Air Antilles no longer had a viable path to continue operating. The decision leaves a travel gap in the region and puts about 116 employees out of work. The airline’s fleet will be liquidated as part of the bankruptcy process.
