Artificial Intelligence Tools Show Promise in Military Operations
In a recent Air Force experiment, artificial intelligence tools outperformed human professionals in planning military operations, generating more Courses of Action in less time with fewer errors. The experiment, known as DASH-3, pitted AI tools from six companies against military personnel from the US, Canada, and UK, with the AI algorithms showing 97 percent viability and tactical validity. According to Col. John Ohlund, director of the Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System Cross-Functional Team, the AI tools were able to ingest and retain large amounts of data, making them more effective in complex scenarios. The experiment was reported by Breaking Defense.
