Vertical Aerospace Launches Valo, UK's First Commercial eVTOL Aircraft

Vertical Aerospace has unveiled Valo, its latest eVTOL aircraft, which features a sleeker design, advanced materials, and a more aerodynamic airframe. The aircraft can carry four passengers and has the potential for expansion to six seats. Vertical plans to build seven certification aircraft in the UK to support final testing with regulatory authorities. The company aims to launch the UK’s first eVTOL network in early 2029, with journeys between Canary Wharf and Heathrow expected to cut from an hour to just 12 minutes. The project is a collaboration between Vertical Aerospace, Skyports, and Bristow Group. The first network is planned to become operational in early 2029, with electric flight expected to transform how cities move.
