Spanish Navy Upgrades NH90 Helicopters with French Special Forces Features
The Spanish Navy has outlined plans to acquire six more NH90 helicopters, which will be upgraded with a French electro-optical targeting system and other modern features. The aircraft will be used for amphibious operations, search and rescue, and medical evacuation. Deliveries are expected to begin between 2030 and 2032, with initial operating capability planned for December 2026.
