Southwest Expands Global Reach with Turkish Airlines Partnership
Southwest Airlines will partner with Turkish Airlines to offer one-ticket transatlantic journeys between the US and Istanbul, starting in early 2026. The agreement allows travelers to book single itineraries connecting Southwest’s US domestic network with Turkish Airlines’ global route system via shared gateway airports in the US. Turkish Airlines operates one of the world’s largest international networks, flying to over 350 destinations in 132 countries. The partnership is part of Southwest’s evolving international strategy, which has seen the airline announce six overseas partnerships in 2025. The agreement is scheduled to launch in 2026, pending final operational arrangements. This partnership was first reported by AeroTime.
