Saudi Carrier Prepares for First Commercial Flights Amid Boeing 787 Delivery

Riyadh Air has welcomed its third Boeing 787 Dreamliner as it prepares to launch its first commercial flights. The aircraft is part of the airline’s fleet of 60 Airbus A321neo, 25 A350-1000, and 39 787-9 Dreamliners. Riyadh Air expects to complete its first passenger flight on October 25, 2025, before launching commercial operations in early 2026. Breaking Defense reports that the airline has also signed a lease agreement with Avi Lease for a single Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Riyadh Air’s Chief Commercial Officer Vincent Coste said the partnership with Huawei is essential to Saudi Arabia’s tourism growth and will strengthen the airline’s ability to deliver personalized journeys.
