Hamad Ali Al-Khater Takes Helm Of Qatari Flag Carrier
Qatar Airways Group has announced a change in leadership, with Hamad Ali Al-Khater taking over as Chief Executive Officer, effective December 7, 2025. Al-Khater replaces Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, who had a relatively short tenure as CEO. Prior to his appointment, Al-Khater served as Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport, Qatar Airways’ global hub. The move comes after Akbar Al Baker’s 27-year tenure as CEO, during which Qatar Airways became one of the world’s largest carriers. This development was first reported by AeroTime.
