Qantas Expands Western Australian Hub with New Routes to South Africa and New Zealand
Qantas has launched direct flights from Perth to Johannesburg and Auckland, marking a significant expansion of its western Australian hub. The new routes, which began on December 7, 2025, add over 150,000 seats annually and provide connections to Cape Town through Qantas’s partnership with Airlink in South Africa. The airline also announced the return of international flights from the Gold Coast Airport, with direct service to Auckland starting June 16, 2026.
