Pentagon Unveils AI Platform for Military, Civilian, and Contractor Personnel
The Pentagon has launched GenAi.mil, a new website offering AI tools to 3 million personnel, including the government version of Google Gemini for unclassified data. The site aims to expand AI capabilities to classified data and ‘several frontier AI capabilities’ in the future. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized the importance of AI in modern warfare, while Chief Technology Officer Emil Michael highlighted the need to bring AI to all personnel within the next few weeks to months.
