Airline Celebrates 100 Years with Special Boeing 787-9 Paint Job

Lufthansa has taken delivery of a Boeing 787-9 with a special centenary livery, featuring dark blue fuselage and white crane symbol. The airline plans to paint five more aircraft in this design throughout 2026. According to AeroTime, the new plane landed at Frankfurt International Airport on December 23, 2025, after its delivery flight from Boeing’s Everett plant. Lufthansa’s CEO Jens Ritter praised the moment as ‘unforgettable,’ highlighting the airline’s commitment to celebrating its rich history.
