Lufthansa Celebrates 100 Years with Unique Boeing 787-9 Design

Lufthansa has welcomed its first aircraft painted with a special anniversary livery to mark its 100th anniversary. The Boeing 787-9, registration D-ABPU, landed at Frankfurt International Airport on December 23, 2025, after its delivery from Boeing’s Everett plant. The airline plans to feature five more aircraft in the special livery throughout 2026. This marks a significant milestone for the German flag carrier, which claims a connection to the pre-war Lufthansa company founded in 1926.
