Swiss Developer Advances PHA-ZE 100 Program With Flight Tests

Switzerland-based Jekta has unveiled a 1:9 scale model of its PHA-ZE 100 fully electric amphibious aircraft, with flight tests currently underway in Italy. The subscale model is being used to collect data that will inform the further development of the PHA-ZE 100, which is designed by Italian designer Max Pinucci. Jekta’s founder, George Alafinov, confirmed plans for the first flight of a full-scale prototype by the end of 2027, with entry into service targeted for 2030-31. The company has also partnered with Innovative Aerosystems to customize its Liberty Integrated Flight Deck for the PHA-ZE 100, with features tailored to enhanced riverine and amphibious navigation.
