Israel Deploys Iron Beam Laser Defense System Against Rockets and UAVs

Israel has activated its Iron Beam laser air defense system, which was delivered to the Israeli Air Force on December 29. The system, developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, successfully intercepted rockets, mortars, and UAVs in extensive tests. The system will be integrated into Israel’s multi-layered aerial defense array as a complementary capability to Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow systems. The Israeli Ministry of Defense and Rafael delivered the system, with additional systems already in production. The development marks a significant moment in the deployment of laser-based interception technology.
