Indian Carrier Taps Expertise Amid Flight Cancellations And Disruptions
IndiGo has hired Captain John Illson, a former senior advisor to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to conduct an independent review of its recent operational disruptions. The review aims to identify the root causes of the disruptions, which included the cancellation of over 3,000 flights due to staff shortages. IndiGo has been forced to cut 10% of its Winter schedule to help with operations. The airline’s CEO and COO have also been served with a show cause notice, requiring them to explain the disruptions.
