Portuguese Charter Airline Expands Antarctic Operations
Portuguese charter airline Hi Fly has successfully landed an Airbus A330 in Antarctica for the first time, marking a significant milestone in its Antarctic operations. The flight, which took place on December 1, 2025, was part of the airline’s ongoing partnership with White Desert for the 2025/2026 season. Hi Fly’s Airbus A330-302, powered by General Electric engines, landed safely on the blue-ice runway at Wolf’s Fang Runway, Antarctica. This achievement follows the airline’s landmark 2021 landing of an Airbus A340 in Antarctica. The flight was reported by AeroTime.
