US Space Command and France Conduct Bilateral Rendezvous and Proximity Operation
French and American military satellites successfully practiced joint maneuvers as part of US Space Command’s multinational space warplan, Olympic Defender. The bilateral rendezvous and proximity operation (RPO) involved two satellites maneuvering closely around each other. France partnered with the US on the operation, which is part of a larger effort to enhance the ability of US and allied nations to respond to space-based threats.
