Australian Carrier Expands Network Amid Growing Demand for Fiji Travel
Fiji Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between Gold Coast Airport and Nadi International Airport, set to begin June 11, 2026. The new service marks a significant expansion of the airline’s Australian network, with three weekly flights operating on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The route will be serviced by the carrier’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, taking just over three hours. According to AeroTime, the addition is expected to bring 53,000 seats to the market annually, providing travelers with a more convenient connection between the two destinations. To mark the launch, Fiji Airways is offering special introductory return fares starting at FJ$799 ($350) from Fiji to the Gold Coast. The promotional fares are available for purchase until December 31, 2025, for select travel dates.
