Cairo Expands Global Partnerships Amid Rising Regional Tensions

At the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX), Egypt’s state-owned Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has signed multiple agreements with international companies, including Dassault Aviation, China North Industries Cooperation (Norinco), and Havelsan. The deals cover a range of defense products, including aircraft parts, drones, and ground vehicles. AOI has become part of Dassault’s international supply chain, and is set to produce parts for the Rafale fighter jet and Falcon business jet. The company has also partnered with Norinco to co-produce a new drone, the Hamza-2, and has unveiled a new ground vehicle, the Aqrab, produced in conjunction with Havelsan.
