Bombardier’s Global 8000 has received FAA certification, clearing the way for customer deliveries in the US. The aircraft boasts record-breaking speed and range figures, including a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles. According to AeroTime, Bombardier is emphasizing comfort and operational flexibility as key differentiators. The Global 8000 features advanced leading-edge slats and GE’s Passport 20 engines, enabling it to access shorter runways and operate from a wider range of airports than comparable aircraft. With the recent completion of its 1,000th test flight, Bombardier is now ready to begin delivering the aircraft to US-based customers.
