Spain to Replace CN235 and C212 Fleets with Airbus C295 Transport Aircraft
Airbus has secured an order for 18 C295 transport aircraft from the Spanish Ministry of Defense to replace the country’s CN235 and C212 fleets. The Spanish Air and Space Force will operate a total fleet of 46 C295s, with the first batch scheduled to be delivered between 2026 and 2028. The order includes advanced ground training systems and comprehensive support for the C295 fleet. The Spanish government has allocated €3.68 billion for the purchase of new fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, including Hürjet advanced jet trainers, C295 transport aircraft, and NH-90, H135, and H175 helicopters.
