Air France Expands La Première, Adds 50th A220 & 40th A350
Air France is accelerating its international expansion of the acclaimed La Première cabin experience while simultaneously strengthening its modern fleet with major Airbus deliveries. On December 5, 2025, the airline announced that its revolutionary first-class service would extend to four new destinations: Atlanta, Boston, Houston, and Tel Aviv, with daily service to each city.
The La Première cabin, which underwent a comprehensive revamp earlier in 2025, represents a new benchmark for luxury aviation. Each suite spans nearly 3.5 square meters and features a convertible seat-chaise lounge configuration that transforms into a two-meter bed. The aircraft feature only four suites per cabin, each separated by floor-to-ceiling curtains and positioned across five windows, ensuring maximum privacy and comfort for discerning travelers.
Since its maiden voyage from Paris Charles de Gaulle to New York JFK on April 3, 2025, La Première has expanded to include Paris connections to Abidjan, Dubai, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, São Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo-Haneda, and Washington, D.C. The newest routes will operationalize progressively: Tel Aviv service begins December 15, 2025, followed by Atlanta on March 29, 2026, Houston on July 6, 2026, and Boston on July 20, 2026.
Paralleling this cabin expansion, Air France achieved two critical fleet modernization milestones. The airline received its 50th Airbus A220, registered F-HPNZ and christened ‘Valbonne,’ which entered commercial service on November 17, 2025. Air France has designated the A220 as the cornerstone of its short- and medium-haul fleet renewal strategy. Nine A220s have arrived since January 2025, with three additional deliveries expected by year-end.
Simultaneously, Air France accepted its 40th Airbus A350, registered F-HUVT and named ‘Noirmoutier-en-L’Île,’ delivered November 20, 2025. Five A350s have joined the fleet since the beginning of 2025, with another delivery anticipated before December 31.
These achievements reflect Air France’s unprecedented modernization commitment. The carrier invests more than one billion euros annually in fleet renewal and receives nearly two aircraft monthly—a historical record for the company. This aggressive acquisition pace positions Air France to maintain competitive advantage through enhanced fuel efficiency, reduced operating costs, and improved passenger experience across its network.
