Colorado-Based VTOL Developer Acquires US Drone Distributor Amid Growing Market Demand

XTI Aerospace has acquired Drone Nerds, a leading US drone distributor, in a $40 million deal. Unusual Machines has also invested $25 million in XTI as part of the acquisition. Drone Nerds generates over $100 million in revenue annually and operates a network of distributors across the US. The company will continue to operate under its own brand as part of XTI’s strategy to build comprehensive vertical flight capabilities. This deal positions XTI for growth in the fast-growing US drone market, particularly with its TriFan 600 VTOL aircraft development program.
