Vietnamese Carrier Returns Chinese-Made Aircraft to Service After Month-Long Hiatus
Vietjet will resume flights with COMAC C909 jets on November 25, 2025, after a month-long suspension due to the temporary unavailability of the aircraft. The airline has renewed a six-month lease with Chengdu Airlines, which will provide aircraft, pilots, and maintenance support. Vietjet is also exploring other COMAC leasing options under regulatory review. Reuters cited two sources familiar with the matter as the basis for this report. The temporary suspension impacted flights to Con Dao, a popular tourist spot in southeastern Vietnam.
