Space Force Seeks Industry Input on Kinetic Energy SBIs for Midcourse Defense
The US Space Force plans to solicit prototype proposals for kinetic energy space-based interceptors (SBIs) in midcourse missile defense, following a prize-based model. The program aims to develop capabilities that can take out enemy intercontinental ballistic missiles missed by boost-phase SBIs.
