Regional Airline Takes Over Vital UK Air Route
UK regional operator Skybus is set to expand its operations by taking over the vital London-Gatwick to Newquay air route. The airline will introduce an ATR72 aircraft on the route under a Public Service Obligation agreement with Cornwall County Council, following the collapse of Eastern Airlines. With a refreshed timetable, passengers will have daily flights from November 23, 2025, scaling up to twice-daily services on weekdays from February 14, 2026.
