Qantas Introduces Premium Seating Option for Domestic and Short-Haul Flights

Qantas has introduced Economy Plus, a new cabin product offering more legroom and perks on domestic and short-haul international routes. The product will be available on Qantas’ Airbus A321XLR, A220, and Boeing 737 fleet, starting February 2026. Frequent flyers will receive complimentary access to Economy Plus seats, while others can purchase them. The rollout is part of Qantas’ fleet renewal program, which includes 48 next-generation A321XLR aircraft. CEO Vanessa Hudson said the new product provides more options for travelers while rewarding loyal customers.
