Kingdom of Morocco Chooses H225M for Combat Search and Rescue Operations
The Kingdom of Morocco has signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters to purchase 10 H225M helicopters and replace its Puma fleet. The new aircraft will be used for combat search and rescue operations by the Royal Moroccan Air Force. This order is part of Airbus’ efforts to strengthen its presence in West Africa, as announced earlier this year. The company has a long history in Morocco, dating back to 1951 through its subsidiary Airbus Atlantic.
