Dubai Air Taxi Plans Take Shape with Joby Aviation

Joby Aviation has successfully completed the first crewed electric aerial taxi flight between two locations in the UAE, as part of Dubai’s air taxi plans. The flight took place on November 16, 2025, and was conducted in partnership with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai. According to AeroTime, Joby Aviation plans to increase flight test operations in Dubai and begin carrying passengers using its electric aerial taxi starting from 2026.
