Leisure Airline Expands UK Footprint with New London Gatwick Base

Jet2 has announced the launch of a new flight program and holidays from London Gatwick Airport, marking the airline’s first major expansion at the facility since 2020. With six new Airbus A321neo aircraft to be based at LGW, Jet2 will offer 29 destinations across Mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, and other European destinations. The airline expects to create over 300 jobs initially, with hundreds more indirect jobs expected. The announcement was made on November 12, 2025, and comes after Jet2 marked over 22 years of flying earlier in 2025.
