IndiGo Expands China Presence with New Delhi-Guangzhou Route

IndiGo has launched daily, non-stop flights from Delhi to Guangzhou, marking a significant expansion of the airline’s presence in China. The new route is operated using A320neo aircraft and connects the Indian capital to 21 international destinations. The airline has also announced a codeshare agreement with China Southern Airlines, which will enable seamless travel options between the two countries. The partnership aims to promote trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between India and China, according to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers. The airline’s expansion into China is seen as a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for air travel in the region, and the codeshare agreement with China Southern Airlines is expected to further enhance connectivity between the two countries.
