European Airline Group Partners with SpaceX for High-Speed In-Flight Connectivity

International Airlines Group (IAG) has partnered with Starlink to provide high-speed satellite Wi-Fi across its fleet of over 601 aircraft starting in early 2026. The service will be available on all active aircraft not scheduled for near-term retirement, covering both short-haul and long-haul fleets. According to IAG CEO Luis Gallego, the introduction of high-speed Wi-Fi from Starlink will transform onboard connectivity, improving connection speed and reliability for customers. AeroTime reports that Starlink’s technology currently offers download speeds between 150 and 450 Mbps and upload speeds from 20 to 70 Mbps.
